From the time it was founded, Irwin Bank & Trust Company has always placed a high value on the privacy of our customers. The bank has protected confidential information in many ways over the years, and will continue to do so using state-of-the-art measures.

Information We Collect

We may collect "nonpublic personal information" about you from the following sources: Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets, and income; Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as your account balance, payment history, and parties to transactions; Information we receive in response to requests we make to third parties about you or to confirm information that you have provided to us, particularly in the process of evaluating applications for loans such as your transactions with other companies, status of employment; and Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies, such as information relating to your credit worthiness and credit history.

Service Providers/ Joint Marketing Partners

To provide our customers with products and services that we believe may meet your financial needs, as permitted by law, we may disclose all of the information we collect as described above to non-affiliated companies that perform marketing services on our behalf, or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements such as a securities broker-dealer. We require these companies to comply with strict standards of security and confidentiality. They are not permitted to release, use, or transfer any customer information to any other party for their own purposes.

Information We Disclose

As permitted by law, we may disclose nonpublic information about you with our affiliate, a title company, solely about our transactions or experiences with you. Under certain circumstances, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you with other non-affiliated third parties when providing a service function. For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to a third party to assist us in servicing your loan or deposit account, in printing your checks or loan payment coupon book, to the operator of the interchange that processes our ATM and debit card transactions, to a merchant to verify a check you have given to the merchant, to a government agency or regulator to comply with a legally permitted inquiry, when legally required, such as in response to a subpoena, and to credit bureaus. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about customers, or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law. We will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice if you should discontinue your banking relationship with us. We have never in the past, nor will we in the future, sell any nonpublic personal information to third parties.

How We Protect Your Information

We understand that the protection of your nonpublic personal information is of utmost importance to you. Safeguarding your privacy is our obligation. Irwin Bank maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information. We restrict employee access to your personal and account information to those employees who have a business reason to know that information. We also train our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy.

WEB SITE PRIVACY STATEMENT

Irwin Bank and Trust Company's (IBT) web site is designed to inform you about the financial services, saving products, and benefits available to you as an Irwin Bank customer. We understand that our customers and web site visitors are concerned about the privacy of information.  Visitors to the IBT web site remain anonymous.  IBT does not collect identifying information about visitors to our site.  You may visit any section of our web site to find out more about the bank, the products we offer and events we are supporting without providing any personal information to us.

Irwin Bank and Trust Company uses standard software to collect non-identifying information about our visitors, such as:

  • Date and time our site was accessed
  • IP address (A numeric address given to servers connected to the internet.)
  • Web browser used
  • Pages in web site which were reviewed
Irwin Bank uses this information to create summary statistics and to determine the level of interest in information available on our site.

Visitors to the web site may elect to provide us with personal information via E-Mail by completing registration forms, and request for information forms.  This information is used internally, as appropriate, to handle the senders request.  It is not disseminated or sold to other organizations.  We WILL NOT disclose information about customers and web site visitors to outside parties.
